7 a side Finals Night Details!!!
These are the details for the finals night fixtures and some information on rules for teams and supporters to take note of.
Bowl Competition
Semi Finals will be 15 min matches.
SF1 – 6.15pm – Copper Grove v Dijon Utd (3rd Pitch)
SF2 – 6.15pm – KOL v David Ross Plumbing (Bottom Pitch)
Final will be a 10 min a half match.
Final – 7pm (3rd Pitch)

Please take note of the following;
In the event of a draw in any knockout game/final, a penalty shootout will take place. Each team will have 5 penalties and it is sudden death after that. ONLY THE 7 PLAYERS that are on the field at full time are permitted to be involved in the shootout.
Thankfully, no referee has had to use this rule yet but as these are finals, if any player commits a dangerous foul, a series of fouls, or is abusive to the referee, that player can be sin binned for the remainder of the half or for 3 minutes of the next half if it close to half time. However he/she can be replaced by a substitute. (We hope we won’t have to implement this because remember teams, this is only a bit of craic, it’s not the World Cup.) If a player returns to the field and continues similar behaviour, they can be sent off indefinitely and no substitute will be allowed.
No additional players can play on finals night. Therefore, you must use players that have played in either of the two group stage nights or players that were registered with Richie O’Regan prior to the tournament starting.

Rules
Matches will be played on Saturday 11th, Monday 13th and Friday 17th August.
Squad
– 12 Adult players on a squad. (can bring in additional players during competition if players are unable to attend but not players that have played for another team in the competition).
– 7 a side.
– Subs roll on/roll off.
Pitch
– 18 yard line to 18 yard line on bottom or 3rd pitch. Normal width.
– Normal sized goals.
Match
– 15 min a half.
– No penalties, instead there will be free kick 10 yards from goal.
– No offside rule.
– If a female player scores it counts as 2 goals.
Semi-finals and finals will be played on Friday 17th August 2018
