23rd February 2013
The opening goal came from a penalty which in all honesty was a penalty. The goal came after 25 minutes and before this Bandon were the better of the two sides. Carrigaline then seemed to grow in confidence and went into the half time 1-0 and looking for an invaluable win for them. Bandon suffered the worst start to the second half a aimless clearance found a Carrigaline in an off side position but was not given and he slotted the ball home for 2-0. Bandon pushed on and were the stronger of the two sides but failed to create any clear cut chances and the ones that they did make were saved well, as Bandon pushed to get back in game Carrigaline countered with pace and finished a well worked goal. The game finished 3-0 and could have been more only for Farrell who saved a penalty, a disappointing result for promotion chasing Bandon but an opportunity to make immense Tuesday, traveling away to CIT in the League.
