Yes, after a terrific tournament last year, the Bandon AFC 7-a-side Soccer Tournament is back for the 3rd year from July 29th to August 4th.
So, if you’re a Business, Pub, Group of Friends or anyone who wants to play…then make sure you get a team together and enter by July 26th! See poster for details
Rules
Squad
– 12 Adult players on a squad. (can bring in additional players during competition if players are unable to attend but not players that have played for another team in the competition).
– 7 a side.
– Subs roll on/roll off.
Pitch
– 18 yard line to 18 yard line on bottom or 3rd pitch. Normal width.
– Normal sized goals.
Match
There will be 2 groups. The groups are as follows:
Group 1 (Bottom Pitch)
1. Copper Grove
2. Brady’s Bar, Bandon
3. Dijon United
4. Ray O Mahony’s
Group 2 (middle pitch)
1. Kevin O Leary’s
2. Dave Ross Plumbing
3. Padraigin’s Pizza
4. Fiddlers
Fixtures are as follows (check your team number to see when you’re playing)
1 v 2 @ 6.45
3 v 4 @ 7.00
1 v 3 @ 7.15
2 v 4 @ 7.30
1 v 4 @ 7.45
2 v 3 @ 8.00
Important details/rules:
Matches are 15 minutes straight, no H/T.
No sliding tackles!!!
No penalties (indirect free kick for fouls committed in the penalty area)
No offside rule!
No abusing the referees (Remember this is a fun tournament)
