It was a great start to the season for U14 Boys as they won a hard earned 3 points with a super 3-2 win in Buttevant. The away side got off to a great start on the 12th minute as David Whelton opened the scoring. The goal came about after great work on the right by Alan Buttimer and Cillian O Mahony. Things got a lot better for Bandon on the 25th minute when Cillian O’Mahony scored from close range after a corner. However credit to Buttevant as they came back from 2 nil down and it was level at half time. They scored from a free kick just outside the box and the penalty just before half-time . In the second half, Bandon put in an outstanding performance in defence lead by Coen Crowley and Eric Claesson. Some excellent midfield play by Adam Kelly lead to a great team goal scored by David Whelton for his 2nd and the winner.
