Corinthians 1 – 0 Juniors
Our Junior side began their league campaign away in Castletreasure. The team were fresh from a good win in the League Cup last Tuesday night. Bandon had the best chance to open the scoring after 15 minutes. A good cross from Juta was met by Daly. He turned on to his left and hit a low effort just past the post. Throughout the half, there were half opportunities for both sides but at half time, it remained scoreless.
Bandon started brightly in the second half as Clifford Niles was always dangerous and was unlucky not to put them in front. Midway through the second half, it was very clear that both defences were going to be very hard to break down as the score line remained 0-0.
With 16 min to go, Crean crossed in a ball which Houston was unlucky not to convert. His effort was deflected wide for a corner.It was a game that could have went either way but unfortunately for Bandon, it was Corinthians that scored with 5 minutes to go to take the 3 points.
