An exciting opening game in Munster Senior League Division 1 at the Town Park in Bandon.
Bandon began brightly and enjoyed much of the ball in the opening minutes.
However it was Leeds who had the best chance to score. A penalty was awarded to the away side after a handball in the Bandon box. The home keeper, Ronan Crowley was equal to the effort with a smart save. The rebound came off the bar and then Bandon cleared. Moments later, Bandon cleared a ball off the line to keep it scoreless.
Midway through the 1st half, Leeds hit the front. 12 minutes later, Bandon equalised. The ball fell to Jordan Lehane from a corner and he nearly burst the roof of the net to make it 1-1.
Just before the break, Leeds had taken the lead again.

2 min after the restart, Bandon equalised for a second time. A fine cross was met with a great header by Mark Murphy. 2-2.
55 minutes played and Brendan Cullen put Bandon in front after good play by the home side.
With 62 minutes on the clock, it was Leeds turn to equalise. There were chances for both teams in the last 30 minutes but neither side was able to convert so it finished a point a piece in this MSL Division 1 opener.

Well done to every player on the Bandon side. They worked tremendously hard from start to finish.
