U12 Girls 0-1 Passage 5th Oct 2013

Bandon’s Under 12 girls team put in a terrific team performance away to Passage in the opening match of the season, and were most unfortunate to come away empty handed. The only goal of the game came in the 2nd half, when a dipping cross from the left flew in over the Bandon keeper, against the run of play at the time. Both teams had a few chances in the opening half, Jolie McCabe coming closest for Bandon, inches wide when a stinging drive.

Bandon piled on the pressure in the 2nd half and came close on a number of occasions, Maeve O’Driscoll the closest, again inches wide with a shot on the turn in the last minute. Played in summer like conditions, the Bandon girls were out on their feet at the final whistle, having played their hearts out for the hour. With many of the panel missing due to other commitments on the day, Bandon had no substitutes to call upon, so credit to all the girls for doing so well against strong opposition.

Bandon had a team of stars on the day, which included Maeve O’Driscoll, Aoife Harrington, Niamh Trunwitt, Shannon Cregan, Emily Holland, Izzie Canniffe, Holly Warren, Jolie McCabe and Veronica Andepu.
