Bandon got back to winning ways again after being unlucky to lose 2-0 away to Leeds last time out. They got off to the perfect start when Gavin O’Connell raced onto an early ball and found the back of the net after 2 mins. This set the tone for the game which Bandon dominated. A second goal was added 15 mins later when Jack O’Donoghue found the net from the edge of the box. Adam Mangan added number three after 2 5mins and Gavin O’Connell got his second and Bandon’s fourth on the stroke of half-time.
Bandon started the second half with the same flowing football that they had played in the first half. Further goals were added by James Campbell after 37 mins Aaron Hutchinson(penalty) 45 mins (first goal for the club). Adam Mangan added his second after 47mins. Robert O’Driscoll scored Bandon 8th after 52 mins. Bandon conceded two sloppy goals in the dying minutes which brought the final score to 8-2.
This was a nice way to finish off 2012. Having played 6 games with 5 wins and 1 loss, leaving Bandon top of the table over the Christmas period.
