Bandon 3-0 Avondale

8th September 2012

Our U13s got off to a winning start for the season with a hard worked 3-0 win over Avondale.

This was also the first competitive match to be played on the new 3rd pitch. (Thanks Jim for getting out of bed to cut the grass).

Bandon dominated the first half and came close to scoring on several occasions but it remained goalless at half time. The second half started off the same way as the first with Bandon on the attack. It wasn’t until 15 minutes into the half that they got their reward for all their hard work when a snap shot by Jack O Donoghue found the roof of the net (first competitive goal on the new pitch). Five minutes later Darragh Hurley broke down the right wing and finished neatly into the bottom corner a goal he well deserved as he had come close on a few occasions. Brendan Harrington finished the job with 4 minutes to go when he worked his way through the middle to slot the ball home. This was a great overall performance. Well done lads.
